Instructions for Purchasing a DK10

 A PrinterZip DK10 Applicator consists of a Base Unit and a Label Tray. You must have both for the applicator to work. If you are planning to use the PrinterZip to apply more than one size of label, then you will need more than one Label Tray (but only one Base Unit is necessary). Both components are available for purchase below.

Base Unit

The Model DK10 Base Unit is a universal platform that is customized to pair with a variety of desktop label printers. Currently we are only supporting printer models produced by Brother and Zebra.

  • The list of supported printers appears in the drop-down menu for the Base Unit (found below).
  • We are continuing to add support for new models.
  • If your printer isn’t listed, simply contact us – we’re happy to help determine compatibility or discuss upcoming support.

Important:

    • The DK10 is not configured to work with desktop printers that are mounted on a battery base.
    • If you are supplying your own printer, it must have a peeler (dispenser) installed. Most printer manufacturers offer peelers as user‑installed accessories.

Label Tray

Label Trays are sized to match the label dimensions used by your desktop printer.

  • Each label size requires its own tray.
  • Rectangular labels. Supported label lengths: 3.5″ to 12″.
  • Standard tray sizes are listed in the drop‑down menu on the shop page.

If your label size isn’t listed, we can provide a custom label tray—typically with a short lead time. Just reach out and we’ll take care of it.

Label Types

Our applicator works with a wide range of label formats:

  • Roll or fanfold labels
  • Direct thermal or thermal transfer materials

For more flexible materials (such as polypropylene/BOPP), we recommend fanfold labels for best performance.
