The PrinterZip Z10 is a desktop printer label applicator. It works in conjunction with a variety of standard desktop label printers to apply labels to packaging. It uses patented technology to hold onto the labels as they are printed and then release them in a manner that does not require hand contact with the labels.

No. The Z10 does not require electricity, compressed air, batteries, or a separate power supply. It operates mechanically with the compatible desktop printer.

The Z10 has no powered or motorized moving parts. Its simple design helps reduce maintenance and makes it extremely easy to set up and operate.

Benefits and Applications

The Z10 is best suited for flat or mostly flat surfaces, including:

  • Shipping boxes
  • Poly mailers
  • Padded envelopes
  • Flat packages
  • Product cartons
  • Bags
  • Folders
  • Clamshell containers
  • Other products that can be brought to the applicator tray

The Z10 can help operators:

  • Avoid touching the printed side and the adhesive side of labels
  • Apply labels faster and more consistently
  • Reduce labels sticking to gloves or fingers
  • Eliminate the need to manually peel each label
  • Create a cleaner, more organized labeling workstation
  • Apply labels directly as they are printed

The Z10 is primarily designed for flat or mostly flat surfaces. It may work with some slightly curved products, but performance depends on the product shape, label size, and application technique.

No. The Z10 is a manual label applicator. The printer produces the label and the Z10 presents it for application, but the operator places the package or product against the label.

Yes. One of the main benefits of the Z10 is that operators do not need to peel labels by hand or touch the adhesive. This can be especially helpful in workplaces where gloves are required.

Printer Compatibility

No. The Z10 must be configured for a compatible printer make and model. Each version includes a receiving cradle designed to hold the printer in the correct position. Models we currently support are listed here. Printerzip.com/z10-applicators

The receiving cradle mates with features on the bottom of the printer and positions the printer so labels feed correctly into the Z10 slide channels. Because printer housings and dimensions vary, receiving cradles are not interchangeable between all printer models.

Most desktop label printers can be upgraded with a manufacturer-approved peeler or dispenser module. Availability depends on the printer model. Some modules can be installed by the user, while others may require professional installation.

Label Compatibility

The Z10 can be used with many label sizes however each label size requires it’s own label tray. Label trays can be switched in seconds.

Yes as long as your printer offers a rear access for fanfold labels.

The standard Z10 is designed for labels dispensed from backing paper by a peeler module. Linerless printer compatibility should be evaluated separately because linerless printers dispense and cut labels differently.

Setup and Operation

No. The Z10 requires limited assembly and printer positioning. The table clamps and printer receiving tray are attached during setup, and the compatible printer is placed into the receiving cradle.

The Z10 includes table clamps that secure the base plate at the front edge of a counter, bench, or worktable.

Positioning the unit near the front edge allows the operator to bring boxes, mailers, and other products into contact with the label without interference from the work surface.

No. The printer continues to print labels normally. The main difference is that the peeler module partially separates each label from its liner and directs it into the Z10.

Ordering and Product Selection

Additional trays are available for supported label sizes.

Yes, when a compatible printer and peeler module are already available. Be sure to select the Z10 configuration that matches the printer model and label size.

PrinterZip offers packages that include the Z10, a compatible desktop printer, the required peeler module, and the selected label tray. Package contents are listed on each product page.

Possibly. A different printer may require a different receiving cradle. Contact PrinterZip before changing printer models.
